Hello, I'm Catherine and welcome to my corner of the plant world!
I've been obsessed with plants since growing cacti and then hydrangea on my bedroom window sill as a child. I then advanced to being given my own rock garden and my love of plants just grew! I have worked with plants since I was 18, studing landscape design and plant science at university, qualifying as a professional landscape architect, working directly for the Landscape Institute and then finally setting up my own florist shop.
As a florist I became increasingly aware that sending gift bouquets of cut flowers was a bit of a dead end gift. I couldn't help but agree with customers who told me that they were always somewhat resentful when buying a bouquet of flowers for a loved one as 'they were only going to die'. That's when I decided to replace these bouquets with beautiful living and thriving plant gifts which can continue to grow and thrive and be nutured by the recipient.
So, to cut a long story short (see Instagram for the full version), Rooted was born in 2026.
